- Correct
cracks and irregularities in the wall and give it a suitable primer coat
to apply once the stucco has dried.
- Apply a
thin, even coat of stucco with the trowel. When the walls are covered, use
the terrain again to smooth and dry.
- When the
first coat is dry and opaque, apply a second coat with the trowel in
uneven strokes to create small contrasts. When done, dry and apply a third
coat.
- Apply a
third coat with a trowel suitable for the Venetian style you want to
achieve. Work with small amounts of products and short strokes, leaving
some space without filling.
- Then with a
clean trowel, smooth the surface and polish it with two or three passes.
Then wait 10 minutes for it to dry.
- Finish
polishing with the trowel and apply wax in circular motions, if desired,
to polish and protect the Venetian stucco. Once applied, pass a woolen
cloth to polish it.
Where to use Venetian Plaster
Venetian stucco
can be used both indoors and outdoors. This technique is often used in
hallways, living rooms and bathrooms, mainly to give them a luxurious and
sophisticated look.
You can apply it
to all walls, but applying the only one creates an accent wall.

apply Venetian stucco on the ceiling. In large rooms with high ceilings with
mouldings, using this technique not only draws attention to them.
It can also help
you enhance the height of the ceilings and visually bring it closer to the
ground to create more welcoming rooms. But, of course, everything will depend
on the colour used.
Although less
common, finding in the bedroom is a powerful tool for attracting attention to
the main wall.
When applying
Venetian stucco, white, cream and light gray tones are the most popular
colours, but small shades of pink are usually common in the bedroom.
